Hang On Sloopy

From the US band McCoys single that peaked at number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 5 on the UK Singles Chart in the mid 60’s. Written by the American songwrtiters Wes Farrell and Bert Berns who also worked as record producers.


One of Status Quo top hits from the beginning of the 70s. Written by the members Bob Young and Francis Rossi on a napkin on a visit to a hotel in the sothern part of England. Nowadays this is often the opening song in their concerts.

This Is My Life

From the Danish group Gasoline’s album “Efter endnu en dag” from 1976 which became one of their most well known songs. Gasoline’ was founded by Kim Larsen and two of his friends Franz Beckerlee and Wili Jønsson in 1969 and was one of the most successful rockbands in Scandinavia during the 70’s.

Bring It On Home To Me

Is a song by the American soul singer Sam Cooke, first recorded in 1962. Some few years later recorded by the English band Animals with, at that time, members as Alan Price and Eric Burdon and became one of their most well known songs from the ’60s and a huge hit in Sweden.

Hey Joe

Is an American song from the 1960s that has been performed in many musical styles by a great number of bands and artists. It was registered for copyright by Billy Roberts but some says he stole it from his girlfriend. Other says it’s a traditional song. This recording is a Jimi Hendrix version.

Gimme Some Lovin’

Originally performed by The Spencer Davis Group and relased as a single in october 1966. It’s written by the members, Steve Winwood his brother Muff Winwood and Spencer Davis although solely credited to Steve Winwood. The song was later made popular by The Grateful Dead. “Gimme Some Lovin'” has been used frequently in television and movies such as: The Boat That Rocked, The Blues Brothers, Sleepers, Iron Eagle and the swedish comedy Kopps, filmed in our neighborhood.

I Can Only Give You Everything

Is a song recorded by Them with their singer “Van Morrison”, who later had a very succesful solo career. This song was first released on a single 1966, and appeared later on the band’s second LP, Them Again. It was in fact an original song written by a couple of British songwriters, Mike Coulter and Tommy Scott.

Cry To Me

Is written by Bert Russell who was a pioneer of sixties rock and soul. He created a numerous contributions to popular music during this period. The song was first recorded by Solomon Burke in 1962. Other versions of the song were later recorded by the Rolling Stones, Precious Wilson, The Pretty Things and Betty Harris among others.

They call me the Breeze

Written and first recorded by the American guitarist, singer, and songwriter J.J. Cale and appeared on his debut album from 1972, Naturally. The song consists of a 12-bar blues guitar shuffle and features the early use of a drum machine. Our version is recorded with Bengt, our ordinary drummer.

Baby Come Back

The Equals were a group from North London. “Baby, Come Back” is the group’s greatest hit and is a mixture of rock and roll and beat and very much reflects the London sound of the 1960s. The song stayed in the UK Top 75 for 18 weeks in 1968.

Mighty Quinn

Quinn the Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn)” is a folk-rock song written by Bob Dylan. The song was recorded in December 1967 and first released in January 1968 as the “Mighty Quinn” by the British band Manfred Mann and became a great success. The song tells the story of the arrival of the mighty eskimo Quinn, who changes despair into joy. It’s said that Dylan originally wrote the song with children in mind.

Note: These songs are just short samples and recorded in the rehearsal room with simple equipment so the quality is quite low.

    Kanalyran 2015. När man lyssnar på olika band som spelar, så ta mig fan, så ska dom ha en “subbas” som ligger så högt i volymen, och låg i frekvenz, att man blir vansinnig, man hör ju ta mig fan inte vad dom sjunger eller spelar.
    Nu…. Äntligen hade “Reborn Band” tydligen tänkt på detta. Man sätter sig ned med en kall öl…., och så drar “Reborn Band” igång…Ja jäklar…Det var som att sätta på stereon hemma på full volym…Man kunde höra varandra vid borden om man pratade, och jag hörde sången-sologitarr-trummor-bas.. jätteklar… Lagom volym, och utan “subborna”

    Så var man hemma efter en kanonkväll på “Lilla köket” i Uddevalla.

    Reborn Band från Mellerud gav järnet och måste ha lyft sig själva i håret..!
    Ljud, låtvalet och spelglädjen satt som en “smäck” i tapeten. Helt otroligt bra.
    Tackar även alla inblandade som gjorde att man kände sig tio år yngre över några kalla öl och goa skratt!
